About Monexo — Automation Infrastructure for Construction and Real Estate
Monexo is an automation and infrastructure firm built for construction and real estate. Founded by Jonathan Bjorkstrand and based in Gothenburg (Goteborg), Sweden, Monexo connects software and field hardware into a single operational layer so that what happens on site reaches the office automatically, without anyone making a call or updating a system.
Why Monexo exists
The problem in construction was never broken tools. It was broken infrastructure — data that stops moving between systems, processes that depend on people remembering to do something, and field reality that never reaches the office in time to matter. Monexo was built around the question "where does the operation actually break, and why has nobody fixed it," not "what can we automate."
Why software and hardware
Most automation firms stop at the screen. In construction, a significant portion of the data that should drive decisions never makes it into any software. What is actually happening on site, where materials are, the real cause of yesterday's delay — these questions are answered by hardware (cameras, sensors, access systems) deployed in the field and integrated into the same operational layer as office systems. That is why Monexo built FORGE, the field-to-office hardware layer that makes full automation possible.
Why construction and real estate
Capital commissions construction; construction delivers what capital has invested in. The developer needs to know what is happening on site without waiting for a stale progress report. The contractor needs reporting infrastructure that satisfies institutional requirements without spending three days building it. Both need operational transparency across the relationship. Monexo works at that intersection.
